Appointment texts from BookMarvels

BookMarvels is booking software for salons, barbershops and spas. For the businesses that use it, BookMarvels sends appointment texts to their clients from one BookMarvels toll-free number. Each text starts with the business's name and "via BookMarvels", for example:

Fade & Co via BookMarvels: Reminder — tomorrow Tue Oct 14 at 2:00 PM with Alex. Reply C to confirm or R to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out.

No marketing or promotional texts are sent from this number. (A business that sends offers does so from its own registered number, only to clients who opted in to offers separately.)

How clients opt in

A client books on the business's BookMarvels booking page. Under the mobile number there is an unticked box for appointment texts; the booking goes through whether or not it is ticked, and texts are sent only when it is ticked. The box reads (with the business's name):

The box is followed by links to the business's SMS privacy policy and SMS terms.

A client who books by phone or in person and agrees to appointment texts is recorded by staff on the client's record, with who recorded it and when. Every consent is stored with the time, source, phone number and the exact words. More detail and screenshots: How clients opt in.

What is sent, and how often

Booking confirmations, reminders (reply C to confirm or R to reschedule), changes and cancellations, waitlist openings the client asked for, receipts, and sign-in codes for the client portal. Frequency depends on the client's bookings, typically 2–4 texts per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.

STOP, START and HELP

Reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to stop all texts from this number. Because one number serves every business on BookMarvels, STOP stops appointment texts from all of them; each business sees "texts stopped by client" on its record. Reply START to get appointment texts again. Reply HELP for the name and contact details of the business you were texted about, plus BookMarvels support: support@bookmarvels.com.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Numbers and messages are shared only with the providers that deliver them (Twilio and the mobile carriers), for that purpose only. Appointment texts are free from BookMarvels; message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any booking or purchase.
