Developers and web designers
Put BookMarvels booking on a client's website in two lines, and connect their domain.
The booking embed
Add a placeholder where the booking flow should appear and load the script once. It renders the booking flow in the page (no iframe, with its own isolated styles) and picks up the business's brand colour.
<div id="mm-booking" data-tenant="your-salon"></div> <script src="https://book.bookmarvels.com/embed.js" async></script>
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
data-tenant | The business's booking name (required): the part after /b/ in its short link |
data-mode | inline (default) or button: a floating “Book now” button that opens the flow |
data-label | The button's text in button mode |
data-view | booking (default), gift (gift cards), membership or kiosk (check-in) |
data-service | Preselect a service |
data-staff | Preselect a staff member |
data-location | One location of a business with several (its id or name): the page doesn't ask |
The website's address has to be added to the business's allowed websites (Settings → Online booking in the dashboard); requests from other websites are refused.
The hosted page and short link
Every business has a hosted booking page at https://book.bookmarvels.com/widget?tenant=<name> and a short link, https://bookmarvels.com/b/<name>, for texts and bios. Add ?s=instagram (or any source) to see bookings by source in reports.
A custom domain
Point a subdomain at the hosted page with one DNS record, then add the domain in the dashboard. We check the record and issue a certificate automatically.
book.yoursalon.com. CNAME pages.bookmarvels.com.
The onboarding kit
From the dashboard, each business can download a ZIP for its web designer: a sample index.html with the embed in place, a printable PDF, a QR code, the brand files, a README and the DNS records.
Is there a public API?
