What works with Square
You connect your own Square account. Money goes from your clients to Square, and from Square to your bank.
Online deposits and card on file
Clients enter their card in Square's secure card form on your booking page. Take a deposit, or keep the card on file for no-show fees.
Square Terminal at the front desk
Send the checkout from BookMarvels to your Square Terminal. Clients add the tip on the device.
A Reader on your phone
Take a card in person with the Square app and a Square Reader; the payment comes back to the appointment.
Pay by text
Text a client a link to pay on Square's payment page, for a deposit or the balance.
Refunds, payouts and disputes
Refund a Square payment from BookMarvels, and see your Square payouts and any disputes there too.
Clients synced to Square

Free with Square is for Square accounts opened through BookMarvels by businesses without a Square account that took payments in the last 6 months. A Square account you already use can be connected on the paid plan. * The exact terms are confirmed when you sign up. Clover businesses are unchanged: the software stays free with Clover through Merchant Marvels.
Square's processing rates
These are Square's standard published US rates. Square sets them and charges them, not BookMarvels.

Who charges the processing fees?
Square does, under your own agreement with Square, and pays out to your bank. Square's rates are on its pricing page.
What does BookMarvels share with Square?
To keep your clients in step with Square, BookMarvels sends each client's name, email and phone number as a Square customer. Nothing else from their client record, forms or notes.
I already use Clover. Does anything change?
No. Clover businesses keep working exactly as before, and the software stays free with Clover.
Which plan am I on with Square?
Get Square through BookMarvels and your BookMarvels plan is free while you take payments with Square. It's for businesses without a Square account that took payments in the last 6 months, and the new Square account must use a different email from any Square account you've had before. Already take payments with Square? You can connect that account, and your BookMarvels plan stays on the paid tier. The exact terms are confirmed when you sign up.
